Welcome

We meet at Lyonshall Village Hall every Tuesday evening. We play duplicate bridge and are a friendly club where people come to play because they enjoy the game and the conviviality of friends.

We are a charity bridge club, so after our running expenses the Club donates excess funds to charities selected at our annual general meeting. We raise funds through the weekly entry fee, our annual "Round the Houses" competition now in its 36th year and at our bridge drive held in April.

This season we donated £3,300 shared equally between between the County Air Ambulance, the Stroke Association and Home Start. Our supported charites in the new season are Headway, the Brain Injury Association, The Haven Breast Cancer Support Centres and we give our continued support to the County Air Ambulance.

Bank Holiday Tuesday 5 June

Please note there will be no bridge at Lyonshall on the 5 June.

Annual General Meeting

A successful AGM was held on Tuesday 8 May . We decided:

To donate £1,000 each to our 3 charities Headway, The Haven and the County Air Ambulance.
To put funds on one side to support the Lyonshall Village Hall.
To chose St Michael's Hospice, the Alzheimer's Society and the County Air Ambulance as our 3 charities for next season.
To announce that the Bridge Drive in 2013 will be on Tuesday 23 April.
To mitigate the jump in postal costs for Round the Houses the cost of entry will increase by 50p to £8.00 and where possible email will be used for distribution.
To include a randomly selected week in the Change Partners competition where partners will be chosen 'from the hat'.
